IndiATA’s 2026 & 2027 leadership includes its elected Board of Directors and appointed committee and student leadership supporting chapter work across Indiana.

2026 & 2027

The five elected officers of IndiATA constitute the Board of Directors: President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, and Delegate to the Assembly of Chapters.

President · Governmental Affairs Committee Chair

Katy Wagner, MA, ATR-P, LMHCA

Katy is an art psychotherapist, curator, and mixed-media artist whose clinical work spans children, teens, adults, families, caregivers, and systems. She earned a BS in Pre-Art Therapy from the University of Indianapolis and an MA in Art Therapy from Herron School of Art + Design at Indiana University Indianapolis. Her work centers adoption, identity, attachment, trauma, chronic stress, neurodivergence, disability, grief, and life transitions.

President-Elect

Shawn Haymaker, MA, ATR, LMHC

Shawn is a Registered Art Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor who earned an MA in Art Therapy from Herron School of Art + Design. His clinical work includes children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, behavioral concerns, and life transitions.

Treasurer

Dr. Tami Harris, MFA, MAAT, ATR-BC, TF-CBT, FCC, LMHC, Ph.D.

Dr. Tami Harris is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Board-Certified Art Therapist with more than 20 years of experience supporting individuals, families, and groups. Her work includes trauma-informed therapy, expressive arts, anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity development, teaching, and clinical and art therapy supervision.

Secretary

Ami Fair, MAAT, ATR, LMHC

Ami earned her master’s degree in art therapy from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and is a Registered Art Therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Her work supports people navigating trauma, depression, anxiety, emotional regulation, and related concerns.

Delegate to the Assembly of Chapters

The Delegate represents IndiATA within AATA’s Assembly of Chapters and maintains communication between the Indiana chapter and the national association.

2026 & 2027 Professional Committees

Committee Leadership

Committee Chairs are appointed chapter leadership roles. Committee Chairs are not members of the Board of Directors solely because they chair a committee.

Join a committee anytime. Committee participation is separate from elected office and may change as projects, chapter priorities, and member availability evolve.

Multicultural Committee

Linda Adeniyi, MBA, MA, ATR

Chair

Linda is an art therapist, muralist, mixed-media artist, Army veteran, and graduate of Herron School of Art + Design’s Master of Art Therapy program.

Public + Professional Education Committee

Meaghan Wiggins, MA, LMHC

Chair

Meaghan is an art therapist and Licensed Mental Health Counselor whose work includes supportive oncology and hospital-based art therapy.

Membership Engagement Committee

Sonia Thomas, MS, ATR-BC, LPC, GC-C, ATCS

Chair

Sonia is a Board-Certified Art Therapist, Art Therapy Certified Supervisor, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Certified Grief Counselor with experience in clinical practice, teaching, supervision, group art therapy, nonprofit work, and professional leadership.

Governmental Affairs Committee

Leads IndiATA’s public policy and licensure advocacy, including work toward an art therapy-specific licensure pathway in Indiana.

Student Representatives

IndiATA may establish Student Representative positions to support communication between Indiana graduate art therapy programs, students, and the chapter. Student Representatives are representative and participatory positions and are not members of the Board of Directors solely by virtue of that role.

Mission + Governance

How IndiATA operates

IndiATA is a nonprofit professional membership association serving Indiana and a chapter of the American Art Therapy Association.

Board of Directors
The five elected officers are the President, President-Elect, Secretary, Treasurer, and Delegate to the Assembly of Chapters.
Board quorum
A majority of the currently serving members of the Board of Directors constitutes a quorum. Proxy voting by Board members is not permitted.
Member quorum
Those voting members present at a meeting shall constitute a quorum.
Committees + representatives
Committee Chairs and Student Representatives are not members of the Board of Directors solely by virtue of those roles.
Parliamentary authority
IndiATA uses the current edition of Democratic Rules of Order.
Bylaw amendments
Proposals may come from any two voting members or the Board of Directors. Voting members receive at least 30 days’ notice. A majority of votes cast is required unless a greater vote is legally required. AATA approval applies when required by current AATA governing requirements.
