Seasoned clinical mental health practitioner who specializes in mental health and art therapy clinical services. Have demonstrated a solid track record of successfully working with diverse array of client populations in both individual and group programs. Nineteen years plus of dedicated teaching and supervising mental health students and professionals.

Katy Wagner, MA, ATR-P, LMHCA

President-Elect

Katy Wagner is an art therapist, creative wellness curator, and mixed-media artist. She has 17+ years of experience designing and implementing therapeutic arts programming, events, and custom opportunities for people of all ages, abilities, and styles of life. Katy is enthusiastic about empowering people with special & unique needs through the joy of building creative connections for community collaboration. She is a passionate advocate for the field of art therapy and dedicated to raising awareness through her work in day programs, classrooms, corporations, homes, clinics, museums, parks, and other diverse settings.

Brooke Komar, ATR-BC, LMHC, LPC

Treasurer

Brooke has a combined 20 years of clinical and teaching experience, utilizing strengths-based theoretical lenses within a multicultural and developmental framework to address student and client needs. She has provided evidence-based care to youth, adults, and families in a variety of treatment settings and levels of care (school-based, community, Outpatient, IOP, PHP, private practice, skilled nursing facilities, department of corrections) and consults with local school corporations, bringing trauma-informed understanding of development to best meet the social, emotional, and academic needs of their students.

Lauren Daugherty, LMHC, ATR-BC, PMH-C

Secretary

Lauren is a board-certified art therapist and licensed mental health counselor with specialty training in perinatal mental health. She is owner of Larkspur & Violet, LLC, a private practice in Greenwood, IN where she provides art therapy and mental health counseling to women experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and neonatal, infant, or child loss. Before her current role in private practice and as Practicum and Internship Coordinator for the art therapy program at Herron School of Art + Design, she developed a robust art therapy program at the Eskenazi Museum of Art at Indiana University Bloomington, the first of its kind in a university museum setting in the United States.

Shawn Haymaker, MA, ATR, LMHC

Delegate to the Assembly of Chapters

Shawn is a registered Art Therapist and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Shawn graduated from Herron School of Art and Design in 2021 with a MA in Art Therapy. Shawn has a passion for the field of Art Therapy and loves learning and connecting with other pioneers in the field. Shawn is an artist who uses mixed media including watercolor, pens, clay, and colored pencils. Shawn is currently learning welding skills to apply in the field someday.

Linda Adeniyi, MBA, MA, ATR

Chair: Multicultural Committee

Linda Adeniyi is an art therapist with over two decades of experience working with adults and youth to improve their quality of life. In her practice she is passionate about helping individuals gain the tools to assist them in healing. Her goal in the therapeutic process is to help individuals understand the emotional, physical, spiritual, and mental impact traumatic experience(s) has on their life so that they can function with healthier coping skills. As an individual, she is fervent about self-care, team building, planning, setting boundaries and utilizing good communication skills. Linda has spent most of her life in Indianapolis, Indiana. She is a wife, a mother of two boys, an Army veteran of Operation Desert Storm, and a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated.

Meaghan Wiggins, MA, LMHC

Chair: Public and Professional Education Committee

Meaghan is a Chicago native who works with cancer survivors and their families for the past six (6) years at Cancer Support Community Indiana.

She is a Herron alumni and is an oncology patient navigator certified generalist.

Brandi Taziyah, BFA, MAAT

Student Representative: Public and Professional Education Committee

Brandi Taziyah is a phenomenal Art Educator with over sixteen years of experience in private and public schools, receiving her Bachelors of Fine Arts from the Herron School of Art and Design. She is pursuing a degree from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, in the Master of Arts in Art Therapy with an Emphasis in Counseling graduate program. Brandi currently works in the Indiana Public School system as a Highschool Drawing and Painting Teacher at the historic Arsenal Technical High School.
